Where to stay for the 2027 Canada Games in Quebec City — February 27 to March 14

Competition venues and their distance from Le Caïman

Venues announced by the organizing committee (jeuxducanada2027.ca, "two years to the Games"); distances by OSRM road itinerary computed on September 6, 2026 from 735 boulevard Charest Est. Out-of-town ski venues carry no minutes here: we do not publish a figure we have not measured.

• Québec City Convention Centre — archery, fencing, gymnastics, judo, karate, table tennis · 18–20 min walk up the hill, ~1.8 km.
• Pavillon Guy-Lafleur (ExpoCité) — hockey · 4.2 km, ~7 min by car.
• PEPS – Université Laval — hockey, wheelchair basketball · ~6.7 km, ~14 min by car (same campus as Stade TELUS).
• Centre de glaces Intact Assurance — figure skating, ringette, speed skating · 11.2 km, ~14 min by car.
• Centre multifonctionnel de curling — curling.
• Délire Escalade — sport climbing.
• Espace Y — squash.
• CFB Valcartier — badminton, biathlon.
• Mont-Sainte-Anne — alpine skiing, snowboard; Le Relais and Stoneham — freestyle skiing, snowboard. For those three venues, La Petite École de l'Île d'Orléans (a whole house 15 min from Quebec City and about 20 from Mont-Sainte-Anne) is our other address.

Two spring breaks, not one — and they do not fall the same week

Quebec's semaine de relâche (Centre de services scolaire de la Capitale, 2026–2027 calendar) runs Monday March 1 to Friday March 5, 2027: the first week of the Games. Ontario's March Break comes two weeks later, March 15–19, 2027 (approved calendars of Ottawa-Carleton, Upper Canada, Simcoe Muskoka, Near North and Algoma): the week after closing, when the venues reopen to families. An Ontario family coming for the Games and staying on for March Break books March 12–19; a Quebec family, February 27 to March 5.

What we are — and what we are not

Le Caïman is not an official accommodation of the 2027 Canada Games: the organizing committee's lodging partner is Avenue Booking, which sells hotel rooms. We are two 2-bedroom apartments in the same Saint-Roch building, with a kitchen, washer-dryer and free indoor parking — useful when two venues sit 10 km apart and the car is used every day. February–March 2027 availability is read in the booking engine; we do not publish windows six months out.

When are the 2027 Canada Games in Quebec City?

February 27 to March 14, 2027 (jeuxducanada2027.ca). About 2,400 athletes in 22 winter sports, on eleven venues spread across downtown Quebec City, Sainte-Foy, Valcartier and the region's ski resorts.

Is Le Caïman an official Games accommodation?

No. The official lodging partner is Avenue Booking (hotels). Le Caïman rents two private 2-bedroom apartments in Saint-Roch; we hold no status with the organizing committee and claim none.

Which venues are within walking distance of Le Caïman?

The Québec City Convention Centre (archery, fencing, gymnastics, judo, karate, table tennis) is an 18–20 minute walk. Pavillon Guy-Lafleur (hockey, at ExpoCité) is 4.2 km, about 7 minutes by car; PEPS and the Centre de glaces are about 14 minutes by car.

Does spring break fall during the Games?

Yes for Quebec: the Centre de services scolaire de la Capitale's break is March 1–5, 2027, the first week of the Games. Ontario's March Break is March 15–19, 2027, the week after closing.

Can I already book for February–March 2027?
